Night of the Hunter movie

The symbol I got out of that movie is that justice will always come to those stupid people who think they can get away with murder and crimes like Harry Powell who ends up murdering the two kids mother Willa who’s real name is Shelley Winters also thinks he can get away with nearly murdering John  who’s real name is Billy Chapin while his sister Pearl who’s real name is Sally Jane Bruce has to see him nearly being murdered. Also I hate this movie because I really do not like thrillers or horrors as they freak me out plus all the time I get nightmares. This would be compared to another movie like the Lovely Bones movie where this serial killer murders one of the main characters then murders himself at the end of the movie and at the end of the previous movie I was talking about because someone executes him at the end of it. Compared to a few episodes of one of my favourite television programmes which is Home and Away when someone goes on a killing spree around Summer Bay because of someone in that community killed one of the serial killers friends and compare this to real life where it happens occasionally.

This thriller is one of the great masterpieces of American cinema, a movie so strangely repellent, so poetic and so utterly hypnotic that it sadly never found an audience. Based on a novel by Davis Grubb, it was Charles Laughton’s only film as director, and it features Robert Mitchum’s finest screen performance as a bogus priest and psychopath who has “love” and “hate” tattooed on his knuckles. Serving time in jail, Mitchum learns about a bank robbery from a condemned man, and on his release he relentlessly pursues the man’s children whom he believes can lead him to a cache of stolen money. Mitchum’s always imposing, menacing presence is heightened by Laughton to an extraordinary degree, and their stunning collaboration is enhanced by Lillian Gish’s portrayal of a gun-toting spinster. Set during the Depression in a rural backwater where the riverbanks are alive with croaking frogs, it’s a fairy tale. Halimanyomi (2013 October 21).
